News Updates
Wii U
Be sure to check here when the Wii U is released because we will be adding support for Wii U themes as soon as they become available. Since its too early to tell how the Wii U system will be, once we find a way to add custom themes, you will be able to add and download them from this site.
It would be fantastic to have the ability to run USB Loader GX or any of the other Wii loaders on the new system, but we will just have to wait and see if it will be possible.
If there is some Wii software that supports themes and we do not have it on our website, please contact me (Deak Phreak) and request for it to be added.

New Spiffy Sites
We have launched our Spiffy Network site which is still not fully complete, but will have links to all of the websites we are building. On the Spiffy Network, we will have a section for site partners to help share our traffic, so if you are interested, then you may contact us on the Spiffy Network website.
We have many ideas for new websites, so this is going to be the best place to stay up to date on what will be coming and what is currently available. If you have any good site ideas but don't have the tools, money, skills or know where to start, let us help you and send us your idea so we can help make it a reality. Currently our staff is only comprised of myself "Deak Phreak" and our great designer "Jsjar". It is a tough task to only have 2 workers building all these great websites for you to enjoy, but we do have help here and there throughout the process, mainly for content. These people that help us out are not forgotten... If I notice that someone is going above and beyond for one of our sites and providing their help, knowledge and skills, we want to show our appreciation in return which is why we are giving premium Spiffy Cover memberships to those that do so. A cash reward is also an option and has been done before!!! One individual that has pushed and helped our PS3 Theme site grow is Opium2k who not only created advertisement YouTube videos, but has also provided 140 PS3 Themes, over 1,000 covers to our Spiffy Covers site, and has special access to our "Site Admin" forums to help us improve our Spiffy Network websites, provide graphics, content, ideas and more. He is one great person, because all of this was done on his own and we never told him to do so.
We had a surge of additional revenue to help pay for the sites from the ads on each site "Thank you everyone that clicks on the ads once in a while to help the site out and ESPECIALLY to those of you who donate!", so in light of the little bit of extra funds, I had sent off $50 to the top person who has helped on these sites. Opium2k is the next person in my sights and you could be as well.... Help us out and we will help you. If we have a next big surge of funds, I want to create a contest where you could win something very nice!
Spiffy Covers is now open to the public and has been for a couple weeks now. There are 2 types of accounts on Spiffy Covers, one which is regular and available for everyone once signed up on the site. The other is a premium account which currently is only available to a select few who help us out in our various websites. Right here on Spiffy 360, we will give premium memberships to the top theme contributers on each of the theme websites. There are numerous other ways to get premium memberships such as the 200th person to register on Spiffy Covers (may not be that exact number, 200 is just an example), and when you upload a certain amount of covers to the site, your account will automatically be promoted to premium status.
If you already have a membership right here on Spiffy 360, then to get started on Spiffy Covers, all you need to do is go to the Registration page of Spiffy Covers and enter in your Spiffy 360 username and password. The site will verify your information from this website and automatically create your account with no hassle!! There is no reason NOT to sign up....
Our social gaming network, Spiffy Connect, is now open to the public and in Beta right now. This site is constantly being improved and we need your help to give us feedback on things you like and don't like about it. Once you register, you will be able to start customizing your profile page and make new friends on "the wire". This is a great way to stay in touch with your gamer friends or make new ones.
We have specialized groups set up for the different game systems out there such as the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PC gamers. Each group will allow you to be involved in discussions, group albums, group videos and more. We encourage you to join these groups and help add videos, pictures or whatever else is relevant to that group. This will be a great community with some nice features that will constantly be updated, added and upgraded. The community cannot become great without users, so SIGN UP TODAY!! It's completely free.
The Nintendomax Wii Dev Competition 2011 is underway and homebrew developers have released some fantastic submissions this year. Here is a rundown of them so far...
ThatOtherPerson has released a 3D homebrew game that reminds me of an old Atari ST game called Faceball or MidiMaze.

Here is an update to Cherophobe.
I’ve added a tile screen.
There is now a home menu pause screen.
The cursor is now a nice Wii style pointing hand.
Now when you hold down the A button you wont turn.
When you shoot the shots now go in the direction that the cursor is pointing in instead of simply going in the direction of the camera.
I tweaked a lot of number (you turn faster, enemies move faster, they do more damage, there are fewer health pickups, etc)
I’ve also added background music.
The music used in this game is Melancoly by Grace Valhalla.
Like its DS version I don’t intend to be releasing any more updates for it before the end of the competition unless someone finds a significant bug that needs fixing. I’m planning to spend the remaining days trying to finish Hero City.
The prolific ThatOtherDev has released a Wii homebrew game called Hero City.

Oh procrastination, why must you constantly slow my progress?
I started making this game ages ago but I haven’t been working on it as much as I could have. I haven’t really been doing much of anything lately. But with less then two weeks remaining before the Nintendomax Wii Dev Compo 2011 deadline I’ve begun working on it again. Its not yet really a game but I’m still hopeful that I will be able to finish it in time.
In Hero City you play as a superhero and fly around fighting monsters.
Use the nunchuck analog stick to move.
Use the wiimote pointer to turn.
Use the A button to jump, fly and run.
I’ll probably be changing the controls later and moving flying/running to their own button or buttons. There is a lot that will be changed as the game becomes more complete.
It’s finally here! After months of being sidetracked I’ve completed version 0.7 which turning into a total code rewrite of WiiRadio. Not to bore everyone with the techie geek talk I’ll just list all the new features and slap in a video I threw together. It’s hard to point at the Wii while watching the video on a laptop. I guess I need to invest in some video splitter cables
So…..here are all the goodies!!!
Stream searching is now working again
Stream ripping
Basic local playback (SD/USB) of mp3 files ** Currently only FAT partitions
BrawlStats is a Wii application that will have to be run after a Super Smash Bros. Brawl session. It will store automatically on your SD your results and then you will be able to navigate freely through a clean GUI that will show you a lot of information that Brawl doesn't store (or doesn't show). It also gives different trophies to players that achieve certain records.
